Tang Pulpy: A Tangy and Puply Chinese New Year

Last year, I celebrated Chinese New Year at Binondo with five other bloggers, Kuya Dom, Doc Gelo, Chyng, Cher, and Josh.  That was really a lucky event for me because after the Binondo Food Wok, I was inspired by these great bloggers to make this blog, Chic & Cheaps.

And now, I am still lucky to celebrate the Chinese New Year at SM Mall of Asia with Tang!

The biggest Chinese New Year celebration in the Philippines ushered in the Year of the Metal Rabbit, and treated Filipinos to a big surprise: a fruity experience from the new Tang Pulpy.

As one of the world’s most colorful festivities, Chinese New Year celebrations are known for their unique rituals and ceremonies, of which dragon dances and pyrotechnic displays are the most popular. These are said to repel evil spirits and attract luck and prosperity. Best of all the Chinese New Year heralds a fruitful new beginning.

What better way to welcome a new year than by presenting a new fruity and pulpy drinking experience? Last February 2, 2011 Kraft Foods Philippines celebrated Chinese New Year with the introduction of Tang Pulpy. Three grand fireworks displays were staged at the SM North EDSA, SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia, the latter being the venue for the grand Tang Pulpy unveiling.

Before the event, Tang Pulpy geared up the Metro for this very fruity surprise. Three giant mangoes were spotted at the three big shopping malls and generated much curiosity among Manile

Tang Pulpy is the country’s first powdered juice beverage with natural pulpy bits from real mangoes and oranges. It provides an authentic fruit experience for mommy juice drinkers, also enjoyable for kids and whole family. It comes in two of Filipinos’ favorite juice flavors: Tang Pulpy Mango and Tang Pulpy Orange. Pinoys can be guaranteed that Tang Pulpy will be accessible as it is available in affordable 1 liter sachet packs. Moms can make everyday a spectacular one with Tang Pulpy.

“As a leader in the powdered juice beverage category, Tang lives by the Kraft Foods vision to make everyday delicious for Filipinos,” Mark De Joya, Tang Brand Manager for New Product Development shared. “This is why we constantly innovate. Now, we present a more sophisticated juice drink that combines real fruit taste with the flavourful experience of pulp in a powdered beverage format. It’s an innovation that really caters to Pinoy moms and their families.”

Kraft Foods Philippines hopes that Filipinos will delight in the distinctive taste experience of Tang Pulpy. With its pulpy bits creating a flavor explosion in their taste buds, Tang Pulpy can surely make everyday even more delicious, spectacular, and all-around pulp-sarap for the family.
