Miracle Whip's Miracle Machine: Whipping Up 12 Miracles 12 Days Before Christmas

Do you have unused books, toys, clothes, BP apparatus, digital thermometers, old bicycle to share?  Here at Miracle Machine, every single donation counts.

Before I attend this event, I was really looking for a not-so-well-known foundation or organization that I will be helping this Christmas, and luckily I only not found one, but 12 organizations!!!

Miracle Machine Facebook application helped me.   How?  Read on, guys, and you too might help pitch in something to make miracles happen this Christmas.

Miracle Whip is all about making good things happen. But this time, Kraft has decided to whip up miracles outside of the kitchen with Miracle Machine.

Miracle Machine is a social network application and its objective is quite simple: to get people and their friends and their friends’ friends working together to make miracles happen for the less privileged people. Think Facebook but instead of status updates and comments, you get opportunities to help.

Last year, when Ondoy mercilessly devastated the country, most of us turned to Facebook as a channel for mobilizing efforts to help thousands of people during those trying times. Miracle Machine aims to do the same, to become a centralized online hub where people from all walks of life can come together and combine their resources to extend a helping hand to those who need it the most.

For the first phase, the Miracle Machine wishes to whip up 12 miracles in 12 days through Facebook in time for the Christmas season.

11 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS FOR 11 BENEFICIARIES

Kythe Foundation hopes to help Angelalyn Magalano, a 13-year-old angel who suffers from Nephoric Syndrome and psoriasis by making her wish come true of meeting a pilot and talk about flying.

Jamboree Mountaineers hopes to make the indigenous tribes’ Christmas in Wawa, Montalban merrier by trekking there and delivering food for Noche Buena.

Childhope Asia hopes to keep street children warm this Yuletide Season by providing them with new underwear and clothes.

Kaeskwela hopes to fill the empty libraries of public schools in far-flung areas in the country with educational books.

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) hopes to find abandoned dogs and cats new families to take them in by making them adoption-ready through grooming.

Sagip Buhay and Philippine General Hospital hopes to provide medical assistance for those who don’t have the means and access to proper healthcare with new blood pressure devices and Thermoscan thermometers.

Firefly Brigade and Tiklop Society hopes to collect 10 bikes and bike safety gear for people in urban communities to help them get from one place to another faster and safer so they can be more productive in their work.

Tahanang Walang Hagdan hopes to give back to the 326 volunteers who have selflessly devoted their time to the organization by giving them gifts this Christmas.

Resources for the Blind hopes to record an audio storybook for blind children to bring them to the world of wonder and imagination.

Museo Pambata hopes to make 2, 000 children happy this Season of Giving by gifting them with pre-loved storybooks and toys.

St. Martin de Porres Charity Home hopes to spread holiday cheer with a potluck party for the underprivileged kids under its care.

Finally, for the 12th miracle, a fully functional miracle conduit will be made available on the 12th day of December to organizations who need it and people with something to give.

To set the wheels of Miracle Machine in motion, visit http://www.facebook.com/WhippingUpMiracles, click on the Miracle Machine tab. Maybe there’s one miracle or two you’d be able to help us make happen and you might also consider spreading the word to your friends. There might be someone in your friend list or your friends’ friend list who has the means to answer a call for help or support a specific cause.

If we get everyone to pitch in, we can show that as more people become part of Miracle Machine, we get to make more and more amazing things happen!

Motives by Loren Ridinger: A New Beauty Trend To Try

Hi, chic girlies!  I am really excited to share my first ever beauty post to you!

We all know that I'm clueless about makeups (I'm happy with pressed powder and lip gloss).  That's why I was in total makeup haven at the launch of Motives by Loren Ridinger in Market Philippines, Makati City.

Women of all  ages celebrate beauty that evening.  We all enjoyed the one-on-one makeup sessions and the tips and tricks from the experts.

Here's my friend's (Paula's) before and after look...

Before

After

But what Paula, Joyce, and I really love is the first-hand experience of the products.  I was thrilled when I discovered Motives' nonhypoallergenic moisturizing primer which will serve as your makeup base will prevent the concealer and foundation from cracking once applied on your face.  I'm also digging Motive's lip plumper which promises a glossy-appealing pout to finish your favorite shade of lip crayon.

Other extensive offering of brushes, concealer, blush, lipstick, liner, foundation and a lot more is being introduced during the event.  Motives easily finds its way into the hearts of the guests that night.

Motives by Loren Ridinger is a staple in Alicia Keys and Kim Kardashan's style.  One of our local artists who is using Motives even before it was released here by Market Philippines is Kim Chiu.

So gals, drop by, if you get a chance, at Market Philippines, 15th Floor Philam Life Tower, 8676 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City to experience Motives.

The Amazing Race Asia Travels to Legazpi City

LEGAZPI CITY, gateway to the Bicol Region’s 8 Wonders of Eco-Tourism, also one of the Philippines’ leading tourist destination and known for the world-famous Mayon Volcano and all the adventure spots surrounding it, was again the opening highlight of Episode 6 of The Amazing Race Asia Season 4.

Excited bloggers converged in a live viewing party held at Greenbelt 3 to watch the screening of The Amazing Race Asia Season 4 on leading action and adventure channel AXN using a large LED television display at the National Sports Grill.

Hyping the excitement among the jam-packed crowd came about when Team Philippines Richard Herrera and Richard Hardin were declared Team no. 1 by TARA host Allan Wu. This time around, the challenges were done in freezing temperatures at New Zealand after a long flight from its Philippines pit start at Misibis Bay.

Prizes from AXN and the Amazing Race Asia were raffled by The Riches and fellow racer Lani Pillinger. The blogger’s event was initiated by International Publicist Joyce Ramirez of PR Asia who also co-produced the Legazpi episode under Executive Producer Michael Mckay. The event was likewise supported by AXN Asia with funding support from Mayor Noel Rosal of Legazpi City, business tycoon Elizaldy Co and Atty. Ronald Ang of Sunwest Group of Companies.

Last week, the fifth episode of Amazing Race Asia filmed exclusively in Legazpi City and Cagraray Island, is said to be the series’ most expensive production to date as various scenes showcased the luxury resort island playground Misibis Bay as pit stop; the perfect cone Mayon Volcano; the historical Cagsawa Ruins, and Lignon Hill, which offers the best vantage point of Mt. Mayon and the cityscape.

The Amazing Race Asia is based from the multi-Emmy Award winning US reality TV show produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It has been to 20 countries in Asia, Oceania, Europe, and Africa.

Regional tourism director Maria Ong-Ravanilla said she is really proud that Amazing Race made its pit stop in the province.

The filming of Amazing Race Asia here will promote Albay as one of the premier tourist destinations in the country,” Ravanilla said in a phone interview.

She said their hopes are high that more Asian tourists will visit Albay since the show is being aired internationally.

We are grateful that Amazing Race Asia chose Legazpi as one of its sites. With this, we expect that a lot of TV networks within and outside Asia will be enticed to hold shoots here or to feature the province as a world-class tourist destination,” Ravanilla added.

Ian Varona, Misibis Bay resort manager, said the Amazing Race Asia will give a good international media mileage for Legazpi City and Albay province since it will be aired over and over again in different countries for years to come.

Bicolano businessman and countryside development pioneer Elizaldy Co said by helping the tourism industry grow it will open doors for new investments that will help generate jobs for the locals.

Co, who is chairman of the board of the Sunwest Group of Companies, said creating more jobs will help curb unemployment and alleviate poverty.

It is our dream to be the country’s no. 1 tourist destination. What we’re doing now is being like a catalyst by opening doors for future investments,” Co said.

The Sunwest Group owns Misibis Bay Resort, waterfront lifestyle mall Embarcadero de Legazpi, and two posh hotels in this city—Hotel St. Ellis and Hotel Venezia.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH MISIBIS BAY RESORT AND CITY OF LEGAZPI!!! WE REALLY HAD A BLAST AT THE EVENT.  (",)
