Dali Restaurante y Bar de Tapas: A Touch of Spain in Quezon City

During the launch of NOVUHAIR with its new endorser, Fanny Serrano, we were taken to the very romantic, scenic Dali Restaurante y Bar de Tapas.  My first impression upon entering the wooden door and then the glass door (yes, two doors in a row as you enter) is how different it looks from the inside -- it's like you're nowhere near Quezon City.

With its floor-to-ceiling windows, brick walls, wooden furniture, and framed paintings, you'll instantly be reminded of telenovelas from Spain.

Its sumptuous repertoire of Castilian-inspired dishes like paella entice many a palate of working professionals at noon and came nightfall, the restuarant is filled with employees, groups of friends, and residents around Quezon City who drop by for a few glasses of wine as there is a wine lounge where you can enjoy superb selection of cocktails and wine.  And a visit to Dali Restaurante y Bar de Tapas is not complete with the bite-size appetizers or "tapas".


We were served buffet style so I do not have photos of the actual servings.




I sinked my teeth into fresh oversized chicken slices called Pollo con Perijil y Pimientos and the buttered fish fillet that goes well with the green pesto sauce.

I enjoyed the timeless food favorite, Dali's Paella Valenciana.

And one of the tapas I tried was the croquettas that is small but big in flavor.

And to cap it off, freshly-made churros with chocolate dip for a complete Spanish experience.


Its high-end Spanish ambience also makes it the latest place for corporate meetings, launch (just like what NOVUHAIR did), and business or family affairs.

Bayview Park Hotel Manila: A Feast on Filipino Food Fare

One shouldn't pass up the chance to taste interesting variations of Filipino cuisine as Philippines' Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Association of the Philippines, and Bayview Park Hotel Manila's Kulinarya Festival will mark its end this coming July 29.

 

   

We were invited at its launch last May 2011 and they gave us a local food splurge of Bicolano dishes.  Bicol express, pinangat, and native delicacies -- all familiar to us, have never really tasted as good as when you're eating them right under the fiesta-inspired buffet area of Bayview Park Hotel.

And now on its last week, Bayview Park Hotel welcome us with a buffet lunch from selected regions of the country.

The lineup of sweet delicacies from different provinces remind us of our childhood, especially the palitaw which we rarely see in the city this time.

The place is filled with office employees enjoying their 450-peso lunch break and packed with families and tourists who drop by to satisfy the innate craving for the real Filipino taste.

Century Tuna: Angel Locsin and Phil Younghusband as New Endorsers

 Century Tuna's newest endorsers, actress/model Angel Locsin and Azkal star player Phil Younghusband made it a night of wellness for guests at the Intercontinental Manila last June.

The two were added to the rosters of health ambassadors such as Sharon Cuneta, Derek Ramsey, Piolo Pascual and KC Concepcion.

I can't forget the night when me and my friends dined at Tapella...  It was my first try of originally made Spanish cuisine.  And now, I will share to you the San Fermin Promo for you to enjoy Tapella more.

Spain has always been known as an incredible tourist spot. All over the country there are a large number of events that draw tens of thousands of people annually to witness the culture, modern nightlife, and age old traditions of the Spanish. However, there is one celebration that is renowned above all others: San Fermin.

San Fermin is a festival that is held each year in Pamplona, a small city in Navarre. Beginning on the 6th of July, the afternoon Opening Ceremony draws a huge crowd around Town Hall, where the Pamplona party kicks off with the firing of a small rocket, then leads into a huge celebration with live music, champagne, and plenty of dancing. But that is only the first day of the festival, and from then until the Closing Ceremony (14th July) there are a number of activities and events to enjoy.

The most well known and exciting events of the San Fermin festival is the  Bull Run. This is a daily spectacle, and every morning a collection of bulls are run through the streets to the local arena, but the real excitement of this morning stampede comes from the many people who choose to run alongside them.

Here in the Philippines, Gaudi Restaurants brings San Fermin in Manila with a twist.
